Dobber's Pasties, located in the charming town of Escanaba, Michigan, is a culinary gem that offers a delightful take on the local delicacy known as pasties. Customers rave about their flavorful offerings, with highlights including the beef, chicken, and veggie options. Karen Shumac praises the deliciousness of both the veggie and beef pasties, while Klaudia Marek insists these must-tries are essential for anyone visiting the area.
The establishment embraces its roots, being a third-generation business that provides not only fresh pasties but also frozen mini veggie varieties—perfect for those looking to take a taste of Michigan back home. The vegetarian pasty is notably well-received, as Linda Sevison discovered during her travels through the Upper Peninsula. The friendly staff enhances the overall experience, making every visit memorable.
Moreover, Tim Taylor appreciates the authentic flavor, finding Dobber's pasties among the best on this side of the Atlantic. With a variety that extends to breakfast options and even pizza pasties, there's something to satisfy every craving. Overall, Dobber's Pasties stands out as a must-visit restaurant, encapsulating the warmth of local cuisine and genuine service.

First taste of a pasty, a veggie and a beef with gravy...DELICIOUS! We bought some frozen mini veggie pasties to take back to Maine. 3rd generation business, recommended to us by yooper friends from Escanaba. If we were local we would return often.

I love their pasties! You can get them fresh or frozen. I do like getting a little Sayklly's chocolate when I'm up there too.

We had driven through the lower peninsula of Michigan, across the Mackinac Bridge, and were coming down through the Upper Peninsula of Michigan when we came across Dobber's Pasties in Escanaba, Michigan. We had stopped at a couple of other pasties restaurants, but none had vegetarian pasties. We were in luck at Dobber's because they had pasties that were totally vegetarian, and it was delicious! The service was great and the staff were friendly.

This is legit. We were passing thru town, saw pasties, and had to stop. These are probably the best I've had this side of the Atlantic. We had beef, pizza, and breakfast. The beef and pizza were stellar. My only issue with the breakfast was less variation in texture in the pasty (just personal preference), but flavors were great.

I ordered a combo pack for my family. Arrives on date promised. Still frozen, perfect condition. We are really enjoying these yummy delights . I microwave, then airfry. Hot. Flakey. Good flavor. I urge you to try these. We moved from Michigan many years ago. These were great, reasonably priced treat for us and my parents. Great for those that have everything. Brought back memories through taste! Thank you Dobber's

First time in Escanaba. Decided to give this place a try. It's not a fancy place but the pasties are handmade and delicious!!! What a great find!!! We had a chicken and a beef pasty. Both were good but I think the beef was my favorite. I dipped my pasty into a little gravy. So yummy!!! You can get them hot and cooked or frozen to go.

When traveling, I do my best to seek out and enjoy regional cuisine. Which means when I’m in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, I’m eating a pasty or two. My family and I are staying in Escanaba on our way elsewhere, so our time here is limited. As such, I was a little worried that I’d miss the opportunity to enjoy a pasty - but when I saw that Dobber’s Pasties had a breakfast pasty (and that they conveniently open at 7:00am in the morning), I was stoked! I stopped by and grabbed a couple of their breakfast pasties and a beef pasty for later - and I am happy I did! The breakfast pasty far exceeds any grab-and-go fast food or hotel continental breakfast options, so if your passing through like we are, do yourself a favor and check out Dobber’s.
